Today September 25, Italians are heading to the polls to choose the formation of Parliament in the general election. A total of 600 representatives will be elected who will be in charge for the next five years, barring possible premature falls of the government. The latest polls indicate that the right-wing coalition — Brothers of Italy, the League and Forza Italia — will win the majority of the seats, with Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy expected to gain the biggest shares of the votes within the coalition.

First instant polls show the Center-right coalition as potential winner of the Italian election 2022.

 

Chamber of Deputies - Senate:

Center-right: % - 42.6%

Center-left: 28.3 %- 27.8%

Five Star Movement: 16.4% - 16.1%

Third Pole: 7.%- 7.4%

Others: 6.1% - 6.1%

At 19:00, 51,07% of the voters turned up, a lower turnout of 8 percentage points compared to the 2018 general election. Northern regions are recording a higher turnout, with Emilia-Romagna the highest, and Campania the lowest.
