Salvini's statement after the Northern League victory: "Thanks to who's up there, who helped Italy and Europe to find hope. It's about the future of a country and of a whole continent. Millions of Italians gave us a historic mission: that of putting the rights of the family at the center. Now we are the first party in both the North and the South. Le Pen is the first in France, Farage in England: it's the sign of a changing Europe, a Europe tired of multinational companies and elites. Thanks to the Italians who supported us against everyone and everything. But the government allies are friends, so from tomorrow we start working again. Austerity and unemployement cannot make sense anymore."
The results for Italy so far:
Lega (League): 33.14%
Partito Democratico (Democratic Party): 23.81%
